In April 2017, myself and a number of my fellow tech nerds joined together to form a team for the Hack for Foster Care LA event hosted by the Pritzker Foundation in partnership with DCFS. We took on the challenge of connecting children and their families, which is the number one way of driving positive outcomes and reuniting families. The technology built was all mobile first and allowed a social worker coordinate a meeting between many foster parents, children, care givers, and bio-parents through a simple interface and automated calling system.
